Ch'eghutsen' Program Partnership
Planning for Ch’eghutsen’ began in 1998. SAMHSA awarded
Fairbanks Native Association, Tanana Chiefs Conference and the
University of Alaska Fairbanks a grant to establish a planning
committee to create the Ch’eghutsen’ program. The planning
committee created the Ch’eghutsen’ council. This council provides
guidance to the Ch’eghutsen’ program and ensures that the program
remains family-driven and provides culturally-appropriate services
to individuals in their home setting.
This planning stage is referred to as
a “Circles of Care” program.
Ch’eghutsen’ provides services as guided
by
the “Systems of Care” model.
