Ch'eghutsen' Events and Activities

Many Alaskan Natives who move out of village communities and into Fairbanks tend to feel isolated and distrustful of those who are trying to help them. Ch’eghutsen’ strives to be a place within Fairbanks where the sense of community and trust can be restored.

Sharing Time takes place each spring. This is a gathering time for families in disharmony to heal themselves and to restore what is sacred and precious, the children. This is a time for families to share together, to learn traditional skills, and to regain cultural strengths.

We offer seasonal gatherings, including sharing time, that are focused around kids and fun. These events and activities occur in Fairbanks and in the communities we serve. Children and families are also invited to participate in education, cultural and support groups.

These activities promote stronger relationships with families and promote wellness.
